Ian Bailey

Ian’s experience is a background in civil engineering and has worked as a CDM Co-Ordinator / Health and Safety Advisor since 2001 when Ian joined Tweeds. Previous to that I was employed as a Company Engineer that required both CDM and Safety Officer roles.

Holding IMaPs and TechIOSH along with other certification including the NEBOSH General and Construction certificates and keeps CPD up to date to retain membership of both ” IOSH” and “Association of Project Safety”.

Ian worked under Brian Bulfin and alongside Jack Cotterill at Tweeds.

Brian Bulfin  

Brian is a competent CDM Co-Ordinator and has been carrying out CDM duties since 1985 with a background of a career as an Architectural Technologist, Site Architect and Contract Administrator Brian created the Planning Supervisor service at GMW Architects in 1995 where he was an Associate.

In 1997 Brian moved to Tweeds Project Services where he was the Director of the London office responsible for the health and safety service and the successful discharge of hundreds of commissions as Planning Supervisor.

In 2003 Brian was invited to join Davis Langdon to develop a Planning Supervisor service and subsequently the CDM Co-ordinator service. The team had grown to eight, with more than 250 live projects and a construction value well in excess of £3 billion when Brian decided to start his own CDM Co-ordinator service based on commissions from longstanding clients who value his proactive Client focussed approach.

Jack Cotterill

A consultant who is a qualified architect and based in the Birmingham area. An experienced construction professional of over 35 years standing Jack originally developed his interest in health and safety while he was a Partner at Norman and Dawburn Architects creating a Planning Supervisor service for the practice in 1995. Subsequently Jack moved to Tweeds Project Services to develop a Planning Supervisor service within the Birmingham office.

At Tweeds Jack was the Director responsible for the Birmingham office health and safety service with literally hundreds of commissions successfully completed as Planning Supervisor.  As can be seen from above Brian Bulfin and Jack Cotterill were Directors at Tweeds between 1997 and 2003 and are now enjoying the opportunity of repeating their successful liaison during that period and working together to bring this high quality service to the construction industry.
